(Adnkronos) - È stato presentato questa mattina, nella sala "Joe Petrosino" della Caserma della Polizia Municipale di Palermo, il calendario dei Corsi di educazione stradale, organizzati nelle scuole cittadine di ogni ordine e grado dall’Ufficio Educazione Stradale della Polizia Municipale di Palermo, per l'anno scolastico 2024/25. L'incontro con la stampa celebra ufficialmente l’apertura della 60esima edizione dell'iniziativa. I corsi, che nascono con lo scopo di "promuovere tra i giovani la cultura della sicurezza in strada e comprendono incontri, materiali, contenuti informativi e metodologie innovative per promuovere la partecipazione attiva e il coinvolgimento degli studenti e dei docenti degli istituti palermitani, serviranno per far loro acquisire maggiore consapevolezza rispetto ai corretti comportamenti per muoversi in sicurezza, attraverso nozioni di infortunistica, Codice della strada, primo soccorso e B.L.S., grazie anche alla collaborazione di medici volontari".Â
Alla conferenza stampa, insieme ai dirigenti e ai docenti degli istituti scolastici in cui si svolgeranno i corsi, alla madrina della manifestazione, la procuratrice per i minorenni a Palermo, Claudia Caramanna, alla responsabile dell'Ufficio Corsi di Educazione stradale, l'ispettore capo Rosa Mazzamuto, per il Comune hanno partecipato, tra gli altri, il sindaco Roberto Lagalla, l'assessore Dario Falzone, oltre a numerose autorità civili e militari. Tra i relatori presente anche Giovanna Lo Giudice per la direzione dell'Ufficio Scolastico Regionale. Ha fatto gli onori di casa il comandante della Polizia Municipale, il generale Angelo Colucciello.Â
Quest'anno, in occasione della 60esima edizione, sono state introdotte alcune novità . Tra queste, la collaborazione di un cabarettista che, negli istituti superiori, contribuirà a ironizzare sui dispositivi di sicurezza stradale e sull'uso smodato di alcool e droghe alla guida. La possibilità per i ragazzi delle scuole medie di visitare alcuni musei cittadini, in particolare il Polo espositivo museale dell'Esercito, all'interno della caserma Ruggero Settimo, e il Museo della sicilianità , a Villa Adriana, e per le direzioni didattiche, l'opportunità di conoscere i nuclei "Cinofili" e "Ippomontato", nelle strutture comunali all'interno del parco della Favorita. Altra novità di quest'anno, la collaborazione con alcune associazioni cittadine per momenti informativi sulla sicurezza stradale, come il Rotary e i Lions e, infine, la stesura di un protocollo d'intesa tra Polizia Municipale e l'Ufficio di Servizio Sociale per i minorenni del Malaspina per percorsi di informazione e sensibilizzazione rivolti ai ragazzi loro ospiti.Â
