(Adnkronos) - "Crediamo che i porti siciliani possano svolgere un ruolo fondamentale perché l'eolico offshore non è solamente una modalità per diversificare il mix energetico nazionale, non è solamente un obiettivo per raggiungere i target europei e globali, ma è anche un'opportunità per creare sviluppo, posti di lavoro, occupazione. E i porti della Regione Siciliana, in sinergia insieme al privato, possono dare un contributo essenziale per creare nuove opportunità , puntare alla transizione energetica e portare sviluppo nelle filiere produttive e logistiche". Così Luca Lupi, segretario generale dell'Autorità di sistema portuale del Mare di Sicilia occidentale parlando, a Palermo, a margine dell'incontro 'Offshore Wind Revolution' organizzato, a Palermo, in collaborazione con Magellan Circle e la partnership di WindEurope, Anev e Aero e con il patrocinio dell'Ambasciata di Danimarca in Italia.Â
"La Sicilia - continua- parte da una buona base. La Regione ha avuto un'iniziativa proattiva, sono stati realizzati numerosi impianti rinnovabili che hanno permesso alla Regione Siciliana di essere all'avanguardia a livello nazionale. Partendo da questa base, lavorando in sinergia sotto l'egida della Regione, mettendo i porti siciliani insieme, credo che possano essere raggiunti i target necessari per passare dalle autorizzazioni alla realizzazione". Â
"Come sistema portuale, siamo convinti che l'eolico offshore non è solo un percorso verso la transizione energetica ma anche un percorso che può portare occupazione. La Regione Siciliana è quella che, in Italia, negli ultimi 4 anni, ha autorizzato il maggior numero di impianti di energia rinnovabile: 12 gigawatt di potenza. Nel primo semestre del 2024 ha realizzato 1,3 gigawatt di fotovoltaico. E' una regione che, rispetto alla media nazionale sta facendo tanto". Â
"I temi sono tanti - ha aggiunto - le prospettive europee, gli impatti economici. L'eolico non è solamente una diversificazione, un qualcosa con la quale raggiungere degli obiettivi o dei target europei e mondiali, è qualcosa che può portare sviluppo".Â
