"Non è possibile che l'aspettativa di vita di un bimbo africano sia di 2-3 anni, solo a pensarci rabbrividisco. Lavoreremo, quindi, per portare ancora di più i vaccini in Africa: noi vogliamo allungare questa vita e poter dare speranza a un continente che ha una crescita demografica incredibile. Non possiamo permetterci che muoiano così tanti bambini, è ingiusto dal punto di vista umano. Il nostro dovere e di fare tutto ciò che possiamo fare per aiutarli. Qui c'è il presidente di Gavi, José Barroso. Gavi è l'organizzazione che vaccina i bambini in Africa anche con l’aiutodell'Italia". Lo ha detto il ministro degli Esteri, Antonio Tajani, a Pescara, al G7 Industry Stakeholders Conferencedurante l'incontro del B7 "Leaving no one behind: industry for development". Â
