(Adnkronos) - Prende il via oggi a Pescara la riunione dei Ministri dello Sviluppo del G7 (22-24 ottobre), che verrĂ presieduta dal Vice Presidente del Consiglio e Ministro degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale, On. Antonio Tajani. "Siamo pronti a dare avvio alla terza riunione ministeriale G7 di competenza del Ministero degli Affari Esteri" ha dichiarato il Vice Presidente Tajani che ha evidenziato che "la cooperazione allo sviluppo costituisce uno strumento straordinario di pace, crescita e stabilitĂ : temi che abbiamo posto al centro della Presidenza italiana del G7". "Si tratterĂ di tre intense e articolate giornate di lavori, che consentiranno di confrontarci sulle sfide globali con i nostri partner del G7, vari Paesi ospiti, il settore privato e le organizzazioni internazionali" ha concluso il Ministro. Â
Riguardo ai temi che verranno affrontati durante la Ministeriale - rende noto la Farnesina - saranno tre le direttrici principali dei lavori: sicurezza alimentare e sistemi agroalimentari sostenibili; infrastrutture e investimenti sostenibili; salute globale.Â
La prima giornata di lavori si aprirĂ con una Conferenza Umanitaria sulla crisi umanitaria in Medio Oriente, finalizzata a coordinare un’azione congiunta che possa assicurare l’accesso umanitario a Gaza, anche grazie all’iniziativa italiana "Food for Gaza", e in Libano. Oltre ai G7, saranno presenti rappresentanti dei Paesi della regione (Libano, Israele, Palestina) e degli organismi internazionali Unhcr, Undp, Pam, Ficross, Ifad e Fao. (segue)Â
A fine giornata - informa inoltre la Farnesina - è previsto un evento del Ministro Tajani con il Ministro per lo Sport e i Giovani, Andrea Abodi, dedicato allo sport come strumento di sviluppo soprattutto in Africa, con la presenza degli atleti Letsile Tebogo e Lorenzo Simonelli.Â
Durante la seconda giornata, il Ministro Tajani aprirĂ una sessione incentrata sul tema della sicurezza alimentare per discutere di sistema alimentari, clima e acqua e malnutrizione infantile, alla quale interverranno anche Uganda e Unione Africana, e un’altra dedicata alle catene del valore del caffè nella quale saranno coinvolti anche i rappresentanti di Paesi produttori, organizzazioni internazionali e del settore privato.Â
Il focus si sposterĂ poi nel pomeriggio su infrastrutture e investimenti globali, con una sessione ad hoc finalizzata a valutare progetti ad alto potenziale trasformativo riguardanti il continente africano, da realizzare in sinergia con il Piano Mattei e il Global Gateway varato dall’UE. Al termine della giornata, il Ministro presiederĂ un evento dedicato ai missionari italiani, volto a valorizzare il loro contributo allo sviluppo sostenibile delle popolazioni locali e al rafforzamento delle opportunitĂ di istruzione e formazione.Â
Nel corso dell’ultima giornata - rende noto infine la Farnesina - il Vice Presidente Tajani presiederĂ una sessione dedicata al tema della salute globale, con la partecipazione anche di GAVI e OMS per un confronto con le principali aziende del settore sanitario, durante il quale si discuterĂ di investimenti in infrastrutture sanitarie e di miglioramento dell’accesso e distribuzione di strumenti di prevenzione in Africa.Â
Negli stessi giorni del G7, verrĂ allestita a Pescara anche un’installazione dedicata alla campagna #InsiemepergliSDGs del Ministero degli Esteri.Â
Giovedì 24 ottobre, al termine dei lavori, si terrĂ la conferenza stampa conclusiva del Ministro Tajani.Â
