(Adnkronos) - Hezbollah ha rivendicato la responsabilità dell'attacco condotto con droni contro la residenza del premier israeliano Benjamin Netanyahu a Cesarea la scorsa settimana. Lo ha dichiarato il portavoce di Hezbollah Mohammed Afif nel corso di una conferenza stampa.
Hezbollah ''rivendica la sua piena, completa ed esclusiva responsabilità per l'operazione di Cesarea che ha avuto come obiettivo Netanyahu'', ha detto ai giornalisti Afif.
“Gli occhi dei combattenti della resistenza vedono e le loro orecchie sentono, quindi se le nostre mani non ti hanno raggiunto questa volta, allora tra noi e te ci sono giorni, notti e il campo di battaglia”, è la minaccia arrivata dal responsabile delle relazioni con i media di Hezbollah, che ha rivendicato la responsabilità della "Resistenza Islamica" per "l'operazione Cesarea e per aver preso di mira l'abitazione del criminale di guerra", il premier Netanyahu.
"Quello avviato sotto il fuoco non può essere ripreso attraverso la politica", ha detto ancora Afif, in riferimento ai negoziati avviati ieri a Beirut dall'inviato presidenziale americano Amos Hochstein. Ed ha ribadito che "non ci sarà una tregua sotto il fuoco israeliano".
Poco dopo la rivendicazione da parte di Hezbollah, Israele ha confermato l'attacco con un drone di sabato scorso contro la residenza privata di Netanyahu. Da sabato sono state elevate le misure di sicurezza contro esponenti del governo israeliano. "L'Iran ha cercato di assassinare il premier e non sfuggirà alle sue responsabilità", ha dichiarato un portavoce del governo. Ci sarebbero stati lievi danni. Il drone avrebbe colpito una finestra della camera da letto. Netanyahu e la sua famiglia non erano a casa al momento dell'attacco.
La polizia israeliana ha intanto arrestato sette persone residenti a Gerusalemme est con l'accusa di spionaggio a favore dell'Iran. A scriverlo è il 'Jerusalem Post', citando notizie diffuse questa mattina da altri media israeliani. I sette arresti, precisa, si aggiungono a quelli compiuti ieri.
Il Times of Israel scrive che i sette arrestati sono sospettati di aver pianificato attentati in Israele, tra cui l'assassinio di uno scienziato nucleare israeliano e di un sindaco nel centro di Israele. I sospetti hanno tutti un'età compresa tra i 19 e i 23 anni, secondo quanto dichiarato da funzionari della polizia e dello Shin Bet. Il leader del gruppo, un 23enne di nome Rami Alian, è stato reclutato da un agente iraniano. Nessuno dei sospetti aveva precedenti penali o relativi alla sicurezza.
La cellula è stata attiva per circa due anni, rende ancora noto il giornale. Varie le missioni che le sono state affidate, per le quali le presunte spie sono state pagate migliaia di shekel. Tra queste un attentato: ad Alian sono stati forniti la foto e l'indirizzo dello scienziato nucleare da colpire in cambio del pagamento, in caso di successo, di 200mila Nis (circa 53mila dollari). Alian, secondo le autorità israeliane, avrebbe avviato i preparativi ma la cellula è stata arrestata prima che potesse entrare in azione. Secondo Channel 12 news, Alian ha dichiarato agli investigatori di agire consapevolmente a favore degli iraniani e di voler danneggiare la sicurezza nazionale, citando la guerra a Gaza.
