(Adnkronos) - Tragedia in Nigeria dove oltre 140 persone sono morte nel nord del Paese per l'esplosione di un'autocisterna che si è ribaltata nello stato di Jigawa, nel nord del Paese. Lo riferiscono i soccorritori locali all'Afp. Â
L'elevato numero delle vittime è dovuto alla folla accorsa dopo l'incidente nel tentativo di raccogliere benzina dalla cisterna.Â
Tutto è avvenuto ieri sera a Majiya. "L'autista ha perso il controllo e l'autocisterna si è ribaltata. Si è verificata una perdita di carburante - ha spiegato il portavoce della Polizia nella zona, Lawan Shiisu Adam - Gli abitanti della zona si erano radunati per prelevare il carburante quando è avvenuta l'esplosione".
