(Adnkronos) - Christian Brueckner, il principale sospettato nel caso di Maddie McCann, la bimba di quattro anni scomparsa nel 2007 mentre era in vacanza in Portogallo con i genitori, ha confessato al suo compagno di cella di averla presa lui. Secondo quanto riferisce la stampa britannica, Laurentiu Codin avrebbe raccontato ai giudici che Brueckner - attualmente in prigione per aver violentato una pensionata americana a Praia de Luz, la stessa località dove si trovava Maddie - gli avrebbe confidato di aver preso "una bambina" durante un'irruzione in una casa in Portogallo. Â
Codin, deponendo in un tribunale in Germania, ha espresso il timore che Madeleine possa essere stata sepolta, dal momento che Brueckner gli aveva chiesto se "il Dna di un bambino può essere prelevato dalle ossa sotto terra". "Mi ha detto di aver fatto un furto in Portogallo, mi ha detto che aveva rubato lì, in una regione dove ci sono alberghi e dove vive gente ricca - ha rivelato ancora il compagno di cella del 47enne tedesco, accusato anche di altri reati a sfondo sessuale - Ha detto che ha visto una finestra aperta, che stava cercando dei soldi, non li ha trovati, ha visto una bambina e l'ha presa". Brueckner l'avrebbe portata via in auto e sarebbe riuscito a dileguarsi prima che la polizia arrivasse sul posto.Â
