(Adnkronos) - Israele avrebbe nascosto gli esplosivi all'interno delle batterie di cercapersone portati in Libano. Lo sostengono due alti funzionari della sicurezza libanese, che alla Cnn hanno detto che la tecnologia era così avanzata da essere praticamente impercettibile. Le fonti hanno assistito a una serie di esplosioni controllate di alcuni cercapersone che erano spenti al momento dell'attacco del 17 settembre, il che significa che non avevano ricevuto il messaggio che ne avrebbe causato la detonazione. Â
Israele non ha commentato direttamente gli attacchi, ma la Cnn ha appreso che le esplosioni sono state il risultato di un'operazione congiunta del servizio di intelligence israeliano, il Mossad, e dell'esercito israeliano. Il ministro della Difesa, Yoav Gallant, ha tacitamente riconosciuto il ruolo del suo paese il giorno dopo l'attacco con i cercapersone, elogiando "gli eccellenti risultati, raggiunti insieme allo Shin Bet e al Mossad". Sia il Libano che Hezbollah hanno incolpato Israele per gli attacchi. Â
Un ordigno esplosivo improvvisato ha cinque componenti chiave: una fonte di energia, un innesco, un detonatore, una carica esplosiva e una custodia in cui mettere il tutto. Sean Moorhouse, ex ufficiale dell'esercito britannico ed esperto di smaltimento di ordigni esplosivi, ha affermato che sarebbero stati necessari solo un detonatore e una carica esplosiva per trasformare in armi i cercapersone, che hanno già gli altri tre componenti.Â
"Doveva essere fatto in modo tale da renderlo invisibile", ha detto Moorhouse, aggiungendo che un modo per farlo avrebbe potuto essere quello di modificare la batteria stessa, impiantando un detonatore elettronico e una piccola carica esplosiva all'interno del suo involucro metallico, il che avrebbe reso impossibile il rilevamento con l'imaging, ad esempio con i raggi X.
