(Adnkronos) - Il voto in Moldova nelle elezioni presidenziali e nel referendum sul cambiamento della Costituzione in vista dell'adesione all'Ue è stato caratterizzato da "interferenze e intimidazioni senza precedenti da parte della Russia". Lo sottolinea il portavoce dell'Ue per gli Affari Esteri Peter Stano, durante il briefing con la stampa a Bruxelles. Â
Le stesse accuse sono state mosse dalla presidente filo-occidentale moldava, Maia Sandu, scatenando la reazione del Cremlino, che ha chiesto di mostrare le prove.Â
"La Moldova ha dovuto affrontare un assalto senza precedenti alla libertà e alla democrazia, sia oggi che negli ultimi mesi", aveva puntato il dito la presidente Sandu durante lo spoglio dei voti delle presidenziali, aggiungendo che "gruppi criminali" hanno cercato di "indebolire il processo democratico".Â
Le accuse contro Mosca della presidente moldava includevano il finanziamento di gruppi di opposizione pro-Cremlino, la diffusione di disinformazione, l'ingerenza nelle elezioni locali e il sostegno a un importante programma di acquisto di voti. Sandu ha parlato di "attacco senza precedenti alla libertà e alla democrazia del nostro Paese" da parte di "forze straniere".Â
"Maia Sandu deve mostrare le prove di quello che dice, quando denuncia di non avere abbastanza voti a causa di gruppi criminali", ha quindi affermato in risposta il portavoce del Cremlino, Dmitry Peskov. "Prima di tutto, non spiega di quello che parla. Secondo, sono state fatte accuse molto gravi contro questi gruppi criminali e quindi bisogna presentare almeno alcune prove all'opinione pubblica", ha aggiunto. Â
"Sarebbe positivo se Sandu potesse spiegare tutti i voti non allineati alla sua posizione (oltre i 300mila che sarebbero stati comperati, ndr). Sono tutti frutto di 'gruppi criminali'? O significa che i moldavi che non la sostengono sono tutti associati a gruppi criminali? Ci sono molte sfumature".Â
