(Adnkronos) - Un gruppo di membri del Parlamento europeo ha chiesto alla Presidente della Commissione europea Ursula von der Leyen di abolire l'ora legale, in una lettera visionata dalla dpa. Nella lettera si afferma che l'attuale sistema è obsoleto e che l'abolizione del cambio dell'ora è in linea con l'impegno dell'Unione Europea a semplificare, ridurre gli oneri inutili per i cittadini e facilitare la vita quotidiana nei 27 Stati membri. Â
Più di 60 parlamentari di diversi Paesi e fazioni hanno firmato la lettera, esortando la Commissione ad affrontare tempestivamente la questione. Nel 2018, la Commissione aveva condotto un sondaggio tra i cittadini europei sul tema: l'84% dei rispondenti si era dichiarata favorevole all'abolizione. L'allora presidente Jean-Claude Juncker aveva quindi annunciato la fine del cambio dell'ora nel corso dello stesso anno. Tuttavia, prima di poterlo confermare ufficialmente, i Paesi dell'Ue avrebbero dovuto accordarsi sull'adozione permanente dell'ora legale o di quella invernale. Non essendoci intesa su questo punto, la questione è rimasta in sospeso per anni. L'Ungheria ha già dichiarato alla dpa che non affronterà il tema durante la sua attuale presidenza del Consiglio europeo. Â
