"Trump è sempre più instabile e senza freni e, in un secondo mandato, non ci saranno persone come John Kelly che faranno una barriera contro le sue propensioni ed azioni - continua la democratica - quindi quello che Trump vuole lo sappiamo, vuole il potere assoluto. La domanda in 13 giorni sarà : cosa vuole il popolo americano?". Â
L'offensiva dem passa anche per le parole di Karine Jean-Pierre, portavoce della Casa Bianca, che risponde alle domande nel briefing quotidiano. Trump corrisponde alla definizione di fascista? "Sì", replica Jean-Pierre. "Avete sentito più volte questo presidente (Joe Biden, ndr) parlare di minacce per la democrazione. Avete sentito l'ex presidente (Trump ndr) dire che sarà un dittatore nel primo giorno del suo mandato. E' lui, non siamo noi. E' lui e non lo diciamo solo noi, la Casa Bianca. Lo avete sentito da ex funzionari che hanno lavorato con l'ex presidente. Quindi, siamo d'accordo con quella definizione? Sì, lo siamo", l'articolata risposta. Quindi, anche Biden pensa che Trump sia un fascista? "Sì. Lo ha detto lui stesso, l'ex presidente ha detto che sarà un dittatore nel primo giorno del suo mandato. Non possiamo far finta di niente".Â
