(Adnkronos) - Sono stati condannati a otto anni e sei mesi di carcere due ragazzi britannici che, quando di anni ne avevano 12, hanno ucciso apparentemente senza un motivo un uomo che non conoscevano, Shawn Seesahai, a colpi di machete in un parco di Wolverhampton. I fatti risalgono al 13 novembre dell'anno scorso. Secondo Sky News i ragazzi sono i più piccoli a essere mai stati dichiarati colpevoli di omicidio con un coltello nel Regno Unito e a essere condannati.Â

Qualche ora prima dell'omicidio di novembre, uno degli assassini aveva posato per una foto indossando una maschera e con il machete, dalla lama lunga 42,5 centimetri, infilato nella parte superiore dei pantaloni. Seesahai, che il giorno dopo l'aggressione avrebbe dovuto iniziare un corso di Ingegneria a Birmingham, stava camminando a Stowlawn con un amico quando è stato spintonato da uno dei dodicenni. Seesahai è stato poi colpito con il machete e preso a pugni e calci, mentre il colpo mortale, profondo più di 20 centimetri, gli ha trafitto il cuore, riporta Sky News.Â

I due ragazzi si sono accusati a vicenda di aver inflitto il colpo mortale, ma i pubblici ministeri hanno affermato che "hanno condotto un attacco congiunto contro un uomo che non aveva fatto nulla di male, un uomo disarmato, che era completamente indifeso a terra". Prima di loro ci furono solo Robert Thompson e Jon Venables, che avevano entrambi 11 anni quando furono dichiarati colpevoli nel 1993 dell'omicidio di James Bulger, di due anni, dopo averlo torturato e seviziato.Â
