(Adnkronos) - Piogge, inondazioni, raffiche di vento fino a 250 km orari. L'uragano Helene si abbatte sugli Usa provocando almeno tre morti. Il devastante fenomeno meteo, di categoria 4 e cioè classificato come 'estremamente pericoloso', è il più forte mai registrato sul nord della Florida. Secondo poweroutage.us, spiega la Cnn, in Florida più di 1,2 milioni di case e aziende sono rimaste senza corrente elettrica nella notte.Â
Mentre il Centro nazionale degli uragani avverte che "la situazione resta estremamente pericolosa e a rischio per la vita: la gente non dovrebbe lasciare i rifugi", sono intanto stati segnalati dalle autorità almeno tre decessi: in Florida una persona è morta dopo che un cartello è caduto e ha investito un'auto che circolava sulla Interstate 4 vicino a Ybor City, a Tampa, ha spiegato il governatore Ron DeSantis; in Georgia due persone sono morte dopo essere state investite da un tornado legato alle tempeste portate dall'uragano Helene ad Alamo, ha spiegato il sindaco della città alla Cnn.Â
