(Adnkronos) - L'Ungheria chiede la revoca dell'immunità di Ilaria Salis, richiesta che verrà inviata alla commissione per gli Affari giuridici. "A breve sarà annunciata al Parlamento Europeo di Strasburgo - ha scritto l'europarlamentare di Avs sui social - la richiesta di revoca della mia immunità da parte delle autorità ungheresi. Non è una coincidenza che la trasmissione della richiesta al Parlamento sia avvenuta il 10 ottobre, il giorno successivo al mio intervento in Plenaria sulla presidenza ungherese, quando ho criticato duramente l’operato di Orbán. Evidentemente, i tiranni faticano a digerire le critiche".Â
"Come ho già detto più volte, - prosegue - auspico che il Parlamento scelga di difendere lo stato di diritto e i diritti umani, senza cedere alla prepotenza di una 'democrazia illiberale' in deriva autocratica che, per bocca anche dei suoi stessi governanti, in diverse occasioni mi ha già dichiarato colpevole prima della sentenza. In gioco non c'è solo il mio futuro personale, ma anche e soprattutto cosa vogliamo che sia l’Europa, sempre più minacciata da forze politiche autoritarie". "Non sussistono - conclude - le condizioni minime affinché in Ungheria possa svolgersi un processo giusto. Né per me, né per Maja, né per nessun oppositore politico, tantomeno se antifascista. Abbiamo già dimostrato cosa può la solidarietà . È tempo di mobilitarsi di nuovo, in nome dell’antifascismo, della democrazia e di una vera giustizia".Â
L'europarlamentare Pd - S&D Pierfrancesco Maran ha confermato che darà il suo appoggio a Salis: "Condivido ben poco le idee di Ilaria Salis ma so per certo che voterò ben volentieri perché resti libera di fronte a questa ennesima persecuzione di Orban e dei suoi sodali e son convinto che la maggioranza del Parlamento Europeo farà lo stesso"Â
