Ed è doppiamente importante, non certo per il lignaggio del personaggio in questione, quanto per il messaggio trasmesso da una coppia di genitori alla propria figlia sul valore del Servizio sanitario nazionale, che nel Regno Unito ha tanti tratti in comune con quello italiano". Così all'Adnkronos Salute Barbara Mangiacavalli, presidente della Fnopi, la Federazione nazionale degli Ordini delle professioni infermieristiche, commenta la notizia che arriva dal Regno Unito e che riguarda Charlotte d'Inghilterra, il cui sogno "è diventare infermiera". Stando a quanto rivelato da fonti di Palazzo, la secondogenita di William e Kate ha preso questa decisione dopo che il padre ha spiegato a lei e ai fratelli l'importanza del lavoro svolto da chi opera all'interno del National Health Service, il servizio sanitario del Regno Unito. Â
"Come per tutti i profili sanitari che giocheranno un ruolo-chiave nei prossimi anni, considerando i cambiamenti demografici e sociali attesi, è fondamentale valorizzare e veicolare con orgoglio queste notizie - sottolinea Mangiacavalli - che testimoniano una inversione di tendenza nelle nostre società occidentali rispetto all'atteggiamento di giovani e giovanissimi nei confronti delle cosiddette 'professioni di cura', ovunque in crisi 'di appeal' per le difficili condizioni di lavoro in cui si trovano ad operare". Quindi, "i migliori auguri alla principessa Charlotte, che speriamo segua le orme di un'altra celebre cittadina britannica, quella Florence Nightingale" considerata la fondatrice dell'assistenza infermieristica moderna, "e che tanto ha dato anche all'Italia in termini di valori e saperi", conclude.Â
