(Adnkronos) - Eni racconta il proprio impegno nel clean cooking attraverso la mostra Eni dal titolo “FE&L Food Energy & Life”, in calendario dal 15 al 30 ottobre al Corner Maxxi di Roma. Attraverso le fotografie di Gabriele Galimberti e proiezioni video immersive che ritraggono le prime tappe in Mozambico e Angola, la mostra offre una testimonianza della ricerca svolta da Eni sulle tradizioni culinarie, gli aspetti nutrizionali e i benefici legati all’adozione dei fornelli da cucina migliorati distribuiti alle comunità locali nell’ambito del programma 'Eni for Clean Cooking'. Un racconto dedicato al progetto e alla vita delle popolazioni dove Eni sta sviluppando e diffondendo l'iniziativa.
Il programma 'Eni for Clean Cooking' si inserisce nel percorso di just transition che accompagna Eni verso gli obiettivi di neutralità carbonica al 2050 attraverso la riduzione delle emissioni (scope 1, 2 e 3). La distribuzione di fornelli migliorati - la cui efficienza è certificata secondo gli standard della Clean Cooking Alliance - permette ad Eni di generare parte dei crediti di carbonio necessari per la compensazione delle emissioni residue.
Attraverso questo programma Eni si è impegnata a garantire l’accesso al clean cooking a oltre 10 milioni di persone in tutta l’Africa sub-sahariana entro il 2027, con l’ambizione di raggiungere 20 milioni di persone entro il 2030. Il programma prevede la fornitura gratuita di fornelli ad alto rendimento energetico (Improved cookstove) a famiglie attualmente dipendenti da sistemi di cottura inefficienti. A partire dal 2025, il programma si propone di avviare il passaggio da “improved cookstove” a soluzioni “avanzate” (Advanced cookstove), a induzione nelle aree urbane e a pirolisi dei residui agricoli nelle aree rurali, permettendo il totale abbattimento dell’uso della biomassa legnosa.
L’utilizzo di dispositivi più puliti e più sicuri è, inoltre, parte integrante dell’impegno di Eni nel contribuire al miglioramento degli standard di vita delle comunità. Oltre ai benefici di carattere ambientale e di risparmio in termini di spesa per il combustibile, l’adozione di fornelli migliorati e avanzati permette, infatti, di ridurre l’esposizione ai fumi tossici che sono responsabili dei problemi di salute che ogni anno causano 3,7 milioni di morti premature, prevalentemente di donne e bambini.
L’accesso ad un’energia più pulita è una sfida che riguarda la sicurezza, la salute e l’empowerment delle persone attraverso il coinvolgimento attivo e partecipato delle comunità locali. In tale cornice, il programma prevede interventi, in linea con le politiche sanitarie nazionali e internazionali, volti alla promozione del benessere comunitario e alla diffusione di best practice igieniche e nutrizionali, al supporto alle campagne dedicate ai temi della salute materno/infantile locali, il tutto attraverso un processo di cambiamento culturale, che riguardi sia l’utilizzo di tecnologie diverse per la cucina sia la modifica dei modelli culinari e una acquisizione di strumenti di consapevolezza sui benefici portati.
