(Adnkronos) - Saint-Gobain Italia ha inaugurato oggi l’impianto fotovoltaico installato nello stabilimento di Vidalengo di Caravaggio (BG), che, con una superficie di ben 70.000 m2 , si estende anche al Comune di Treviglio. Grazie agli oltre 7,1 GWh di energia verde generata annualmente, l’impianto sposta a favore delle rinnovabili il mix energetico che alimenta il sito e riduce di 2.000 tonnellate di CO2 equivalenti le emissioni di gas serra nell’ambiente. Â
Saint-Gobain Italia - si sottolinea in una nota - "si conferma all’avanguardia dell’innovazione sostenibile applicata all’edilizia moderna con il grande impianto fotovoltaico da 4,65 MW realizzato nello stabilimento di Vidalengo di Caravaggio, realtĂ produttiva di primaria importanza per l’economia della Provincia di Bergamo". Lo stabilimento, infatti, impiega circa 90 dipendenti e genera un indotto locale per oltre 50 imprese tra aziende di trasporto, manutenzione e servizi generali. Grazie al sito di Vidalengo, Saint-Gobain Italia propone sul mercato i prodotti a marchio Isover per l’isolamento termo-acustico destinati ai settori dell’edilizia, dell’industria e della marina, attraverso un approccio di sviluppo sempre piĂą sostenibile per offrire soluzioni e sistemi volti al risparmio energetico e a un reale abbattimento delle emissioni. In linea con l’obiettivo del Gruppo di raggiungere la neutralitĂ delle emissioni di carbonio entro il 2050, tutti i processi industriali dell’impianto sono studiati per massimizzare l’efficienza energetica riducendo il piĂą possibile l'impatto sull'ambiente. Â
Per Saint-Gobain Italia, "l’entrata in funzione dell’impianto fotovoltaico rappresenta una svolta dall’immediato impatto positivo sulla sostenibilitĂ dello stabilimento bergamasco. L’impianto, realizzato da Metlen Energy & Metals, azienda con lunga esperienza in progetti simili, a regime genererĂ infatti oltre 7,1 GWh annui, garantendo così che una quota rilevante del fabbisogno energetico del sito sia soddisfatta da fonte rinnovabile. Nel contempo, l’energia prodotta contribuirĂ a una consistente riduzione nelle emissioni di gas climalteranti, stimata in 2.000 tonnellate di CO2 equivalenti all’anno. Â
L’impegno di Saint-Gobain Italia a rendere sempre piĂą efficiente e sostenibile la produzione del sito di Vidalengo di Caravaggio non si esaurisce con l’installazione dell’impianto fotovoltaico. Entro la metĂ del 2025, infatti, lo stabilimento sarĂ il primo al mondo dedicato alla produzione di prodotti per l’isolamento termo-acustico a dotarsi di una stufa innovativa che massimizzi l’elettrificazione, consentendo una riduzione dei gas serra durante il processo di lavorazione.Â
Questa tecnologia andrĂ a sostituire i tradizionali bruciatori a gas con apparecchiature di riscaldamento elettrico. Il passaggio a una gestione elettrica consentirĂ sia di aumentare l’efficienza energetica del processo, sia di ridurre di un ulteriore 11% le emissioni di gas serra. Â
L’inaugurazione dell’impianto fotovoltaico è stata celebrata sabato mattina con una conferenza stampa – alla presenza del Sindaco di Caravaggio Claudio Bolandrini, e dei partner con cui l’impianto fotovoltaico è stato realizzato, l’Asset Manager di Metlen Energy & Metals, Gabriele Silva, e il CEO di Ren Electron Luca Miotti –, seguita da una visita all’impianto produttivo e dalla cerimonia ufficiale del taglio del nastro. Dalle 12 alle 18, i festeggiamenti sono stati estesi ai dipendenti, alle loro famiglie e all’intera comunitĂ locale, a cui sono state aperte le porte dello stabilimento per coinvolgerli in tour guidati della linea produttiva, dimostrazioni di prodotto e diversi momenti di intrattenimento pensati per grandi e piccini. Â
“Lo stabilimento di Vidalengo è una realtĂ industriale importante per l'economia e l'occupazione locale, oltrechĂ© un modello di circolaritĂ , con la produzione di materiali isolanti in lana minerale ottenuti con oltre il 95% di materie prime naturali come sabbia, acqua e fino all’80% di vetro riciclato, ed è riciclabile al 100%” – ha dichiarato Gaetano Terrasini, Amministratore Delegato di SaintGobain Italia. “Con gli investimenti per l’impianto fotovoltaico, l’installazione della stufa ibrida e altri progetti mirati alla riduzione della CO2, del consumo di materie prime e di acqua, intendiamo garantire allo stabilimento un futuro di crescita e di eccellenza dal punto di vista tecnologico, di efficienza energetica e di sostenibilitĂ ambientale.” Â
