Un pomeriggio durante il quale si parlerà di arte attraverso la vita e la personalità di Anguissola Sophonisba, pittrice italiana del tardo Rinascimento, una delle prime artiste a raggiungere la fama in Europa, nata a Cremona il 2 febbraio del 1932 e morta a Palermo il 16 novembre del 1625. Le sue spoglie si trovano, infatti, nella chiesa di San Giorgio dei Genovesi.
Di lei e del contributo dato all’arte ci parlerà alle 18 di mercoledì 2 ottobre, in piazzetta Bagnasco, il club di territorio di Palermo del Touring Club Italiano.
A portare i saluti del Club sarà Fabio Rocca; Console del Club di Territorio di Palermo del TCI, introducendo gli interventi di: Grazia Collorà, volontaria Touring; Alfio Nicotra, socio e critico d’arte che parlerà di “Sophonisba in Sicilia”; Giuseppe Abbita, cultore di varia umanità, il cui intervento sarà su “Orazio e Sophonisba, due palermitani di adozione”; Emanuele Giarrizzo, socio Storia Patria di Palermo, grazie al quale scopriremo “Le due cognate Sophonisba e Alojsia de Luna e Vega”
Modererà i lavori Ferdinando Trapani, socio Touring.
