“Gli assistenti sociali che in questi due anni hanno lavorato nei comuni e nei distretti socio-sanitari siciliani, grazie ai fondi del Pon Inclusione, sono una risorsa vitale per gli enti e hanno accumulato un’esperienza che non può essere dispersa. Chiediamo alla Regione, all’Anci Sicilia e all’Ordine degli assistenti sociali di prorogare i contratti per non interrompere i servizi”. Lo dicono Nicola Scaglione e Giovanni Paternostro del Csa-Cisal.
“Si tratta di centinaia e centinaia di operatori che svolgono funzioni socio-assistenziali complesse ma importantissime per l’inclusione, il benessere e la presa in carico di persone svantaggiate o in condizione di marginalità sociale – dicono Scaglione e Paternostro – I Comuni in questi due anni hanno colmato le carenze in pianta organica e offerto quindi ai cittadini un servizio indispensabile, specie durante la pandemia. Non possiamo disperdere questo bagaglio prezioso di esperienze, per questo chiediamo che si deroghi alla norma prorogando i contratti con le somme del Pon Inclusione e con il Fondo povertà. Non possiamo privare i cittadini, già duramente colpiti dalla pandemia, di servizi così essenziali e per questo chiediamo alle istituzioni un incontro in tempi brevissimi”.
