Ieri, in occasione della Giornata Internazionale della Mastocitosi e dei disordini mastocitari, il Teatro Massimo di Palermo si è illuminato di viola. In collaborazione con il Comune di Palermo e grazie all'impegno della Sovrintendenza del Teatro Massimo, questa importante iniziativa è stata un modo per sensibilizzare la comunità su questa patologia rara.
"In qualità di consigliere comunale ho collaborato con Giorgia Piccione, referente dell’ASIMAS (Associazione Italiana Mastocitosi ONLUS), che da anni si impegna per aumentare la consapevolezza riguardo a questa malattia che colpisce molte persone, in particolare i bambini". Lo dichiara la consigliera comunale Tiziana D'Alessandro.
Il fiocco viola, simbolo di questa giornata, è un invito a riconoscere e supportare i diritti dei pazienti e delle loro famiglie.
"Ringrazio il sindaco Roberto Lagalla e la Sovrintendenza del Teatro Massimo per questo importante segnale di attenzione e spero che questa iniziativa possa contribuire a una maggiore informazione e sensibilizzazione", conclude la Tiziana D'Alessandro.
