Sono iniziati ieri i lavori di sistemazione di nuovi arredi nella piazza di Mondello, coordinati dall'Assessorato al decoro urbano guidato dal Vicesindaco Fabio Giambrone.
"In attesa che gli uffici portino a compimento la progettazione della riqualificazione complessiva della piazza - afferma il Sindaco - è importante che da parte dell'Assessorato si sia dato il via ad un primo intervento, con l'installazione di nuove panchine e fioriere cui si aggiungeranno altri piccoli miglioramenti prima dell'estate."
L'iniziativa è commentata anche dal Presidente della Commissione consiliare per le attività produttive Ottavio Zacco che sottolinea l'importanza di "avviare un dialogo con i commercianti e i residenti per programmare la pedonalizzazione in vista della prossima stagione, strumento fondamentale per il rilancio economico e turistico della borgata."
