Benché emblematica della lotta contro la mafia e delle indagini sul suo rapporto con la politica siciliana, la storia di Cesare Terranova è oggi quasi dimenticata.
Del magistrato, assassinato a Palermo il 25 settembre 1979 con il maresciallo Lenin Mancuso che gli faceva da scorta, ne parlerà giovedì 18 luglio alle ore 18 a Palermo in Piazzetta Bagnasco Luca Gulisano, autore del libro "Cesare Terranova. Giudice onorevole" (prefazione di Adriana Laudani, Mesogea 2023). Con l'autore interverrà Carmelo Pollichino, coordinatore provinciale Libera Palermo. Il giornalista Giorgio Mannino coordinerà l'incontro.
Luca Gulisano, attraverso una solida ricerca documentaria e le testimonianze di alcuni parenti del magistrato, mette in luce il profilo umano del giudice che fronteggiò Luciano Liggio, portò in tribunale il Gotha mafioso degli anni Sessanta e Settanta, e fu il primo a far emergere i rapporti dei boss con personaggi di spicco della politica come Lima e Ciancimino.
