Cultura siciliana in lutto: è morto Gioacchino Lanza Tomasi di Lampedusa, musicologo italiano ed esperto di teatro d'opera e del melodramma, direttore onorario dell'Istituzione Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa e dell'omonimo premio letterario. Aveva 89 anni ed è deceduto, ieri, nella sua casa di Palermo dove era tornato dopo un ricovero, per problemi polmonari e cardiaci, in ospedale. N
ato a Roma, venne adottato dallo scrittore Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, l'autore del celebre romanzo "Il Gattopardo". È stato professore ordinario di Storia della musica all'Università degli Studi di Palermo e direttore dell'Istituto di cultura italiano di New York oltre che sovrintendente del Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli. Nel 2014 l'allora ministro Dario Franceschini lo nominò sovrintendente dell'Inda, l'istituto del Dramma Antico di Siracusa.
