"Le fiabe di Agnese" è una raccolta di dieci racconti ideati da Serena Poulton per la sua bimba Agnese. La piccola, nonostante sia nata a Palermo, è bilingue grazie al papà inglese. La novità del libro è infatti che le favole sono scritte in entrambe le lingue, affinché i bambini possano far pratica in modo interattivo e divertente.
Le versioni inglesi sono due: la prima destinata ai principianti è corredata da esercizi e da un glossario, mentre la seconda è la traduzione originale del testo italiano (dunque adatta a chi ha un livello di inglese più avanzato o a chi, dopo aver letto il testo semplificato, vuole cimentarsi con qualcosa di più impegnativo).
“Le fiabe sono adatte per intrattenere tutti i bambini, anche i più piccoli – dice Serena Poulton - e di sicuro la parte in inglese può servire ai più grandicelli per far pratica leggendo le storie e risolvendo gli esercizi divertendosi. La parte grafica degli esercizi di inglese è stata curata in modo particolare, al fine di renderli attraenti e divertenti per i bambini ai quali sono destinati”.
I protagonisti di queste storie sono proprio i bambini e il loro rapporto con la natura. Da questo elemento scaturisce il tema ricorrente delle favole, ovvero l’ottimismo, una caratteristica indispensabile per grandi e piccoli.
Il libro sarà presentato sabato 3 marzo alle ore 18,00, dal giornalista Nando Calaciura, presso la libreria Macaione – Spazio Cultura, dove saranno invitati i bambini a tradurre il testo e ad eseguire degli esercizi insieme all’autrice.
